Annoyingly had Toyota tell me they wouldn't drain and fill my transmission at ~63K miles. They only do "flush". So off to find a new mechanic to work on mine.

I have a 23 SR5 Premium with Matt black TRD pro newer style rim/concave design . Just swapped the stock Bridgestone dueler on that rim. No aggressive threads. Haven't noticed any rubbing. Maybe this only happens with tires with aggressive treads. Can you chime in. Thanks for the heads up!

06.30.24: Got a pristine 2015 Jetta Wagon with 80,000 miles. Took a long time to find a pristine model and I had to pay a premium ($15K), but I am confident it will outlast my years.

Get rid of the Michelin Latitude and get Michelin Defender or CrossClimate tires. They will handle best in wet or snow.

Do you recommend using the Lucas PS conditioner that you linked? I have 120k miles on my 4Runner with now power steering issues

Two questions what kind of grease should i use on the drive shaft? And when using the pump for the fluids should you have different pumps for different fluids?

Toyota fluid isn’t made by Toyota and isn’t magical. 75w is for saving 0.00001mpg. Using multi-viscosity gear oil is fine in transfer case. I use Red Line 75-85w. Speced for transfer cases. No issues.

Hey Viking, I just bought a 2006 100 series land cruiser here in Texas and the Frame is rust free, Its rust free everywhere today I checked underneath the front wheel well and there appears to be Screws that go into the engine from there that are suffering from rust, Its not terrible but I'd say on a rating from 1-10 their probably at a 5 the nuts to the bolts are unaffected. I'm wondering if this should raise a concern, the entire rest of the cruiser is rust free though and the cleanest 100 series i've ever seen in person. I'm not even fully positive that those screws go into the engine but it seem that. Am I to paranoid since its new to me, its lived all its life in California and Texas, Zero rust on the frame, 157k miles

I have a question a few months ago you did a video on updating your info-tament. When i receive a text message, I used to be able to reply by voice. I would push the microphone icon and speak. The infotament system would translate to text and i could send it. In recent months the mic icon is gone and i can no longer talk to response to text. How do i fix this? Do i have to update the system as you did in the video or is this there a different fix? Thanks

07 beta model almost 300k same engine same tranny...only thing I've done is plugs at 100k iridium and my no4 coil pack went out but the FJ still drove 300 miles to my property to fix only lost a little power... Incredible vehicles!

I just recently bought a 2016 4Runner with 67k. A fellow UA-camr who was a Toyota Master Tech of 13 years and now owns his own shop said the Dealer doesnt even use OE transfer fluid but use gear oil. I also in my own research found that Valvoline makes Toyota engine oil. When doing the 60k service i found the transmission a total pain in doing it with trying to wait for the right temp of the fluid. I think next time i will opt for just a drain n fill. Dont really see why this wont work. Any thoughts on that? Just subbed to you. Will be checking out your other stuff. I change synth oil every 5k. 3k in my older cars that are non synth.

Definitely on the expensive side, however that being said its one of those mods to a 5th Gen 4R that should have been stock and this guy went through a lot of prototyping to make this product available to the community. So, if you can spare the coin for this mod its a must have indeed! I'm impressed! 👍

Nicely executed! I know I might catch heat from others for using SuperTech Full Synthetic 0w20, but I don’t go past 3-3500 miles oil change intervals with OEM oil filter. Are you still Changing Oil Filter every OTHER oil change, so for you every 8K-10K miles for that? Ty!
